A day in the life of... a slave
Ah.... my, master woke me up again, so early, he said that I needed to guard the house wild he went out, he thought that some of the neighboring slaves would try to steale, but I know them all, since most of the citizens have slaves, you meet them all in such a small place. My master left to vote for a important decision, I wouldn’t know what it is because slaves, and women aren’t allowed to vote, that’s why my masters wife stayed home. It’s no surprise, she hardly ever leaves the house. Today is the magic day for, Ignezus, today he is going to the the hills to fight against other boys, in my oppinion (not that anybody cares) he will survive, because once as I was walking by his school, I saw him smacking his teacher across the face with a dead rat, which he decapated with his own teeth. His parents couldn’t be more proud. I wouldnt know how my kids turned out, because my master sold them, I hope he can sweep the floor as well as me. As the day went from the morning to the afternoon, my slave master came back from voting, he instructed me check around the house, and see to it that all of the dirt was swept away from the walls. As I was sweeping the mud/wooden building, my dream once again became visible; I’ve always wanted to own house but slaves cannot own property, or anything at all. When I came back, I saw that lunch had been prepared..."mmmm" rabbit, I was sittin in the corner, wishing that one of them would not finish their lunch, I was hoping. As they finished I quickly rushed to the plate to find some left over food, my wish came true, the father left a peice of the raw chewed up meat from the rabit, I quickly stuffed it in my mouth, knowing that it could be the only food a got in days, as I ate the saliva from the previous owner dripped on my chin. As I finished my delicious lunch, I replanted the garden, and swept the house "again." After that I had said my priers to Poseidon, and went to sleep. I dreamed about being a citizen, a land owner, children, but as I opened my eyes, I said to myself "another day in the life a slave."
